The case series
A case series with 12 paediatric patients at Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service, Australia, described the use of StrataCTX for MARSI secondary to central venous access device dressings.12
Reported findings
- Skin injuries resolved in all patients within 14 days or less.
- StrataCTX helped maintain a moist, semi-permeable environment without causing abrasion or irritation.
- Patients and caregivers reported less pruritus and irritation.
StrataCTX forms a flexible dressing which lightly bonds to the contours of the skin, providing full contact with the affected area.

Results
- After 2 weeks of treatment with StrataCTX, there was a major improvement in the epithelialisation of all ulcerated areas, with minimal superficial scabs.
- StrataCTX showed efficacy in preventing the manifestation of abnormal scarring.
